Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program 2024-25

Eligibility

To be eligible, an applicant must –

  • have completed the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor’s degree
  • possess a four-year bachelor’s degree/master’s degree/full-time postgraduate diploma if the bachelor’s degree is of less than four years duration
  • have professional experience of at least 5 years prior to August 2024 in the respective field
  • have demonstrated leadership qualities
  • have a record of public service
  • give the undertaking to return to India upon completion of the fellowship

Note – Candidates who match the following descriptions will be considered ineligible for the fellowship:

  • Individuals who have attended a graduate school in the United States for one academic year or more during the seven years prior to August 2024.
  • University teachers with no management or policy responsibilities, except for teachers of English as a foreign language and specialists in substance abuse prevention and treatment.
  • Individuals with less than five years of full-time professional experience prior to August 2024.
  • Individuals who have had more than six months of U.S. experience during the five years prior to August 2024.
  • The individuals must not have participated in recent State Department exchange programs.
  • Individuals with dual U.S. citizenship or U.S. permanent resident status.
Benefits

The selected candidates will receive the following awards – 

  •  Tuition fees
  •  Monthly maintenance allowance
  • Accident and Sickness Program for Exchanges as per U.S Government guidelines
  •  Round-trip international air travel to the host institute
  •  Allowances for professional activities
  •  Modest allowance for books and supplies
  •  Domestic travel to the Washington, D.C. workshop

Note – These fellowships do not provide an allowance for dependents, and the stipend provided under the grant is not sufficient to support family members. The program will involve a number of activities where it will be difficult to include dependents.

Step 5: Fill in the required details and complete the registration.
Step 6: After registering successfully, log in using valid credentials.
Step 7: Fill in the required information and upload the required documents in the suggested format to complete the application process.
